Injustice harms us all. It creates division, resentment, and violence. As long as injustice plagues society, we can’t free ourselves from old wounds - meaning that we keep repeating them. 

Code Green is harnessing the digital revolution for the sake of social evolution. Decentralised finance can bypass the middlemen and help to create a more equitable society. Communities who have been marginalised can finally have their fair share. And downtrodden groups can gain funding to support their cause, ensuring that their voices are heard.

We all deserve peace, prosperity, and protection from harm. It’s time to give these rights the green light, for everyone.

Climate justice

As the climate heats up, so too does conflict. Pressure on water, land, and food will grow. As ever, it will be the world’s poorest who bear the brunt - and, given that they cause the fewest emissions, the irony is alarming.

Our planet is on red alert - and the time to act is now. We may not be able to completely prevent climate change, but we can insulate communities on the front lines from its worst ravages. We can strengthen them rather than abandoning them. And we can invest in new ways to live, connect, and grow, even in a warming world. 

So that climate change isn’t the end of the world, but the start of a new one. 

Gender equality

It’s the 21st century. But if you’re a woman, maybe not. Even today, too many girls are treated as second-class citizens. They’re denied education, they’re victimised, and they’re too often burdened with the worst impacts of climate change. 

At Code Green, we believe that real progress is impossible with half of the human race oppressed. Our mothers, our daughters, our friends are all being harmed by this historical wrong. 

It’s time to say no to gendered violence, oppression, and hatred. That’s why we’re using the power of the blockchain to support women’s struggles for recognition, rights, and respect: things everyone deserves, regardless of sex or gender. 

And, by freeing women from traditional persecution, we can unlock their vast potential - and help to take the whole world forward, too.

Humanitarian emergencies

From fires to floods, the world’s weather is getting more extreme. Once in a lifetime disasters are now once-a-year. And these catastrophes are worst for the worse-off. 

We need to act - fast. Without proper funding, vulnerable communities can’t recover. Tropical islands become hellholes. Great cities are reduced to shanty towns. Conflict that erupts without warning is a mass displacement of whole communities. And the world’s poor are abandoned on the frontlines of climate change.

That’s why Code Green takes action on humanitarian emergencies, as and when they happen. When disaster strikes, so do we, allocating funding to those who need it most, and helping to ensure that those leading the recovery have the tools they need to make it happen.
